Solving Impotence Issues

Impotence or erectile dysfunction is considered by doctors to be the inability to get or keep an erection for a long period of time. It is considered normal for a man to have symptoms of erectile dysfunction or impotence from time to time, but if this happens more than once a month it should be reported to the doctor. There are underlying conditions that could be causing the impotence or erectile dysfunction such as heart disease, prostate issues, cancers, stroke, clots, high or low blood pressure, obesity, smoking, alcohol or drug use and diabetes.

ED pumps are generally the first option offered by doctors for ED. ED pumps all contain the same basic parts including a pump, constriction rings and a tube. The penis is placed inside the ED pumps’ tube and then the pump is used to take out all the air from the tube. The penis experiences an erection and then the constriction rings are placed at the base of the penis to cause the erection to be sustained for sexual use.

ED pumps are only one of many options for treating ED. ED pumps are the least expensive and have no side effects. There are no restrictions as to what man can use the ED pumps and there are no side effects from use. ED pumps can be used at any time prior to sexual intercourse, but the optimal time frame is about 10 minutes prior. There is no planning needed to use the ED pumps like medications and some women feel as though ED pumps are another form of the sexual experience.

Many men are embarrassed at the possibility of using ED pumps. It is more embarrassing to have to wait for a medication that may or may not work, and then have to face your partner knowing an erection will not happen.
